Presage. We bought two canoes for one adult and one kid per boat. We picked the Presage because with young children we needed a boat we could solo paddle.
Most memorable moment on water :
The most memorable time on the water as a family was the day we started our 32 day canoe trip down the Yukon River. To get to the headwaters of the Yukon River we took the historic White Pass Railroad up from Skagway Alaska to Bennett Lake, which was an experience in itself. Launching from the shores of Bennett Lake, where thousands of Klondikers built and launched their boats during the gold rush, was very exciting. When we set out we didn’t know how the trip would be with two little kids or how long it would take us, but we knew we would have a memorable time and we did. We were full of excitement and anticipation as we set out with 900 km of lake and river travel ahead of us to get to Dawson City.
