Favorite boats :
The Pocket Canyon is one of my favorite canoes to paddle tandem and solo. I also have a Solo Esquif Zoom that is the zippiest boat I've ever paddled and keeps me excited even on chill whitewater. I’m also looking forward to spending time in the Prospector Sport this year!
Most memorable moment on water :
My first multi-day river trip down the Illinois River in Southern Oregon will be hard to forget. There is nothing better to me than being with people you love, sleeping next to the river, in a remote wilderness area. What I love about canoeing is how accessible river trips become. Another memory that stands out to me is rescuing a good friend out of an undercut cave on the White Salmon River in WA. This memory reminds me to keep safety first even when skill and ambition are high.
